A logo becomes the visual cue for your gym and will remain a part of your organization throughout the course of its history. It can be tweaked if you are repositioning yourself in the marketplace and launching new programming to back it up, but it should never stray to far from its original design lest you risk losing your core brand identity.

The Source Fitness logo pictured above is inspired by the Ironman superhero logo. It embraces our client's color scheme and interior design. The facility is a powerful and theatrical environment for Crossfit and weight training and the logo illustrates a spirit of drama and power reflective of the club's amenities and design.

A  MIDWEST GYM IS NOW A FUTURE PACED BRAND

 

Cuoco Black Design announces that it has completed the design of a Concept Club for The Source Fitness Center in St Clairsville, Ohio. The new 8,500-square-foot 24 hour facility will feature multiple programs focused on different aspects of fitness. Programming includes but is not limited to weight training, cardio, yoga and group exercise. The offerings, though conventional, will be enhanced by unparalleled service and innovative design developed by Mr Black in conjunction with owner Justin Green.

“At The Source Fitness Center, we pride ourselves with being able to accommodate every activity and fitness level,” comments Principal Justin Green. “This dramatic new facility will not only allow us to expand on our current offerings, but will also provide us with a hedge against the big-box clubs whose low price points will be an ineffective alternative to our exemplary service, diverse programming and stunning facility.”

As a former faculty member of the New York School of Interior Design, and natural bodybuilder, Black's duplicitous skills set makes for the perfect arbiter of gym design. “We have future-paced the Green's facility with metaphors that transcend the conventions of traditional gym design,” says Cuoco Black. “Circular theatrical truss lighting, NASCAR-esque graphics and a dramatic 16 foot high illuminated reception arch, all back-link and reinforce the client's brand. The club's design would be at home as the set of a "Rocky" movie or a WWE event as the client requested. This is another example of PowerBranding and how it is changing the face of fitness facility design.”

The Source Fitness Center currently operates at 156 Woodrow Avenue in St Clairsville. CRUNCH OUT DAVID BARTON IN: almost double price differential

interesting study in pricing and competition, both brands have multiple locations however David Barton's membership fee of $125 is almost double that of Crunch at a $69 range...

looking at the pictures I would venture to say that good design, what else would I say lol, plays a role in generating higher membership fees...fact is, you bet it does....
