Our client decided to entirely reject the big box facility within walking distance from his club. We won't reveal the numbers but his membership sign-ons are nothing less than spectacular. Compete, not even close.

Regardless of the existing conditions the final result will always be a beautiful reflection of the brand concept. The column in the center of the before image is the same as that behind the reception desk in the after picture. Visit here: http://www.mediterraneanfitness.net/
CULTURE, thanks to fitness industry veteran Craig Garza for embellishing on this largely ignored element of gym sales and marketing.... #gymculture #gymmarketing www.fitnesscenterdesign.com Cuoco Black is a trusted and respected master fitness facility designer. To elaborate we further advocate this metaphor...."A picture is worth a thousand words". In the context of fitness facility design, what emotional triggers does your reception area communicate to prospects and members who enter your gym? If your facility employs any of the design features illustrated above, embraced by virtually thousands of gym brands, and Home Depot's kitchen design department, then you have just telegraphed the "better sameness" trigger which is the design weapon of choice in the fitness arena. If your members and prospects have seen granite countertops once, they've seen them hundreds of times, and that does very little to differentiate your business model from the competition. "A gym's reception area is one of your greatest tools in seducing potential prospects to buy into your brand" Cuoco Black A gym reception area should immediately telegraph your business model, your mission, your offering and persuade prospects to become part of your "tribe" and in-turn, brand ambassadors for your facility. This is a boxing gym...and a beautiful design of course. It however does absolutely nothing to reflect the spirit of boxing nor does it correlate with the name and brand it was designed to promote. This is the boutique design trend glorified across all of commerce and is an irrelevant aesthetic being sold to fitness entrepreneurs. Gym design is marketing first and the visual representation of what members will experience at your facility. If at all possible, your gym's interior should do two things. It should first telegraph in some way, energy, excitement or fitness, and second, reinforce your brand. Developers don't be seduced by this aesthetic or the sales pitch promoting it....it's a luxury trend that says nothing about fitness or a gym brand. #gymtrends #gymbranding #boxinggym www.fitnesscenterdesign.com Cuoco Black is a trusted and respected master fitness facility designer.
