What do I mean? I mean that our office see's hundreds of similar design details in gyms, what I like to call "Trends within Trends" which spread like a virus throughout the industry.
I have posted numerous time here about the specific problems in this image i.e., reception desks that copy the same cliches and tired and exhausted design details as shown in this club.
Here they are again, in all their predictable and banal glory...
1. An overhead soffit that mirrors the shape of the desk below
2. Boring pendant light fixtures hanging over the desk
3. A refrigerator is an eyesore, end of story
4. Desk uses un-sophisticated geometric detailing
This is viral design, it perpetually fills the pages of gym editorial, it is embraced by ownership as high design (it is not), it could be dropped into pretty much any gym in the US and it has be done a thousand times...
it says nothing about a brand and quite frankly illustrates the lack of vision that keeps the fitness industry in the dark ages of interior design....
Work with us and you are guaranteed world-caliber-super-duper- sexy-awesome-branded-design that blows the competition away..
